Released as part of master distiller Lesley Gracie’s 'Cabinet of Curiosities', Neptunia Gin was inspired by the Scottish coastline beside the Hendrick’s Gin Palace and distillery. The gin uses the classic Hendrick’s Gin as a base, which is layered with flavours of locally sourced coastal botanicals including sea kelp and coastal thyme. Additional lime has been combined to create a gin that’s reminiscent of Hendrick’s Gin with freshness and floral carefully balanced with herbaceous notes of the Scottish coast.

    How to enjoy this gin

One part gin to three parts tonic and garnished with three slices of cucumber. Neptunia also works wonderfully well in a Gimlet, simply shaken over ice with freshly squeezed lime juice and sugar syrup.

    About Hendrick's Gin

Hendrick's Gin was born in the mid-1990s when William Grant & Sons Master Blender David Stewart sought to capture the aromas of cucumber and rose in a gin. Charles Gordon, a descendant of the company's founder, had purchased two rare stills in 1966, which were installed and used in the original Hendrick's Gin distillery. Working with Lesley Gracie, they perfected the recipe after 21 attempts before Hendrick's Gin was released in 1999. Today, the Hendrick's Gin Palace, opened in 2018, continues traditional distillation methods, with Lesley overseeing production and innovation in this unique Scottish Gin distillery.

    Production

Opened in October 2018, the Hendrick’s Gin Palace is a hub of creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation. Located within the William Grant & Sons Girvan Grain Distillery, it houses two still houses with six stills—four Bennet stills and two Carter-Head stills. The facility also includes a laboratory for experimentation and two Victorian-style greenhouses where botanicals are cultivated for potential future gin expressions. While the Hendrick’s Gin Palace remains a place of work and discovery, it is not open to the public, with distillery tours available by invitation only.
