Dundee and Angus
Historically Dundee was the largest jute manufacturer in the world, processing the natural raw material that would eventually be transformed and used in the textile industry. Fast forward to today, and Dundee is better known for its thriving computer games industry. Dundee is the proud holder of the UK’s first UNESCO City of Design title. The wider region is known for its green and fertile farmland used for traditional farming and berry growers. With its mix of coast, hillside and thriving communities, activities and attractions are abundant across the region, including Arbroath Abbey, RRS Discovery, Ben Fest and the V&A museum, which overlooks city’s waterfront. The region's distilleries and Scottish Gin brands include Arbikie Distillery, Mackintosh Gin, Verdant Spirit Company and Gin Bothy.
