Electric Spirit Co. opted for some non-traditional botanicals including Sichuan Pepper, which adds a woody, floral warmth and spice to the taste. Sensitively made so the botanicals blend and complement the faint aniseed and herbal kick of fennel.

Nose
The Sichuan peppercorns bring a huge floral spice while the fennel adds a grassy herbaceous hint of anis.
Taste
Juniper first, then a woody, musty quality from the root botanicals, a gentle sweetness from the fennel seed and a fragrant, earthy citrus from the peppercorns.
Finish
Resinous bitterness, laced with warm, delicate notes of spice and sweet anis.
How to enjoy this gin
The gin simply must be tried a Negroni; the sweet and spiced notes just kick through on the palate. For a gin and tonic serve, pair with a good quality tonic and serve with citrus twist, like lemon or pink grapefruit peel.
About Electric Spirit Company
Established in 2017 by product designer, photographer and distiller James Porteous, Achroous Gin is the flagship release from Electric Spirit Co. Completing a Masters Degree in distillation at Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University, famous amongst the distillation world for its courses and facilities, James set to work setting up Electric Spirit Co. and started work on his signature spirit - Achroous Gin; a gin that combines both craft and flavour. Working from The Lind & Lime Gin Distillery in Leith, James also helped develop the recipe for the Port of Leith Distillery's Lind & Lime Gin.
Production
Achroous Gin started out in the old James Dunbar Lemonade factory, working out of a small room with a ten litre glass still. The brand then went onto to cohabit and collaborate with the team at Port of Leith Distillery, helping to develop their Lind & Lime Gin at the Tower Street Stillhouse, before eventually moving full business and production to the new dedicated Lind & Lime Gin Distillery in Leith. These shared spaces have proven to be the grounds for collaboration, innovation and experimentation for the Electric Spirit Co. brand as they look to grow the business.
